Clinical Indications

• Accu-Chek Instant Test Strips 50s is indicated for:
• Quantitative measurement of glucose in fresh capillary blood samples (from finger, palm, forearm, or upper arm)
• Routine self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) in patients with Type 1, Type 2, or gestational diabetes mellitus

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

• Wash hands thoroughly with warm water and soap, then dry completely before testing. Insert a fresh Accu-Chek Instant test strip into the meter (the meter turns on automatically). Touch the yellow edge of the test strip to a fresh blood drop obtained via a lancing device. Do not apply blood on top of the strip; let the capillary action draw the blood into the strip window. Result will display within 4 seconds. Discard used strip safely in accordance with biohazard guidelines.

Precautions & Warnings:

• For in vitro diagnostic self-testing only. Strips are intended for single use—do not re-use test strips. Immediately close the vial cap tightly after removing a test strip to protect remaining strips from ambient humidity. Do not freeze, heat, or expose strips to direct sunlight or high humidity. Do not use past the printed expiration date. Keep out of reach of children.
