Andolex-C Lozenges Honey & Lemon 16s is a dual-action anti-inflammatory, local anesthetic, and antibacterial sore throat lozenge containing Benzydamine and Chlorhexidine to rapidly numb throat pain, shrink swollen tissue, and clear mouth and throat infections.

1

Overview & Mechanism of Action

  • Andolex-C Lozenges Honey & Lemon (16s pack) combines a locally targeted non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent with a broad-spectrum antiseptic to deliver comprehensive, localized throat and mouth relief:
  • Targeted Analgesia & Anti-Inflammatory Action (Benzydamine HCl): Acts locally by inhibiting pro-inflammatory cytokine production and stabilizing cell membranes. It provides local anesthetic numbness to painful mucosal surfaces, rapidly reducing inflammation, redness, and difficulty swallowing without systemic side effects.
  • Broad-Spectrum Antiseptic Protection (Chlorhexidine Gluconate): Disrupts bacterial cell membranes to eliminate Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, yeasts, and pathogens responsible for secondary oral infections, plaque accumulation, and sore throat complications.
  • Soothing Mucosal Coating: The honey and lemon flavored lozenge base stimulates salivary flow and coats irritated oral mucosa, reducing throat dryness and tickling cough reflexes.

Clinical Indications

  • Andolex-C Lozenges Honey & Lemon 16s is indicated for:
  • Rapid relief of severe throat pain and inflammation associated with tonsillitis, pharyngitis, and upper respiratory tract infections
  • Symptomatic treatment of painful aphthous ulcers (mouth ulcers), swollen gums (gingivitis), and oral mucositis
  • Relief of oral soreness following dental procedures, tooth extractions, or tonsillectomy surgery
  • Secondary infection prevention during acute inflammatory mouth conditions

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

  • Allow 1 lozenge to dissolve slowly in the mouth. Do not chew or swallow the lozenge whole.

Recommended Dosage:

  • Adults & Children 6 years and older: Dissolve 1 lozenge slowly every 1 to 3 hours as needed for pain relief. Maximum 12 lozenges within a 24-hour period.

Precautions & Warnings:

  • Discontinue use if hypersensitivity or allergic reactions occur. Prolonged use of chlorhexidine may cause temporary, reversible superficial staining of teeth and tongue, which can be minimized by maintaining good oral hygiene. Avoid eating or drinking immediately after dissolving the lozenge to maximize local efficacy. Store below 25°C in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
