Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Anusol Ointment (25g tube) provides combined astringent, antiseptic, and protective action for inflamed anorectal tissues:
• Astringent & Protective Barrier (Zinc Oxide): Acts as a mild skin astringent and mechanical barrier protectant that coagulates surface tissue proteins, shrinking swollen hemorrhoidal tissues, reducing exudate, and shielding raw perianal skin from fecal friction and moisture.
• Mild Antiseptic & Hemostatic Action (Bismuth Oxide & Bismuth Subgallate): Exerts localized antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effects on sensitive mucosal linings while helping control minor bleeding associated with strained bowel movements.
• Tissue Healing & Antiseptic Support (Balsam Peru): Possesses mild antiseptic properties that stimulate granulation tissue growth and promote epithelial repair in cracked, irritated perianal tissues and minor anal fissures.
• Emollient Lubrication: Formulated in a rich ointment vehicle that lubricates the anal canal, facilitating smoother, pain-free bowel movements.

Clinical Indications

• Anusol Ointment 25g is indicated for:
• Symptomatic relief of internal and external hemorrhoids (piles) and perianal irritation
• Soothing discomfort, itching (pruritus ani), and painful burning sensations associated with anal fissures
• Managing post-proctological procedure inflammation and minor perianal skin breakdown

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

• Wash the perianal area thoroughly with mild soap and warm water, then gently pat dry with a soft towel.
• For External Use: Apply a small amount of ointment directly to the affected external area using a clean finger or tissue morning and night, and after each bowel movement.
• For Internal Use: Attach the provided plastic rectal applicator nozzle to the tube, insert gently into the rectum, and squeeze smoothly to release ointment. Wash the nozzle thoroughly after each use.

Recommended Dosage:

• Apply morning and night, and after each bowel movement (up to 4 times daily).

Precautions & Warnings:

• For anorectal use only. If rectal bleeding occurs, symptoms persist beyond 7 days, or condition worsens, discontinue use and consult a physician. Wash hands thoroughly before and after application. Store below 25°C in a dry place away from direct heat and light. Keep out of reach of children.
