Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Anusol Suppositories (pack of 12 suppositories) provides targeted, multi-action anorectal care designed to shrink swollen tissues, soothe irritation, and promote comfortable bowel movements:
• Astringent & Tissue Shrinkage (Zinc Oxide & Bismuth Subgallate): Promotes protein coagulation across inflamed anorectal mucosa, shrinking swollen hemorrhoidal veins, reducing localized tissue edema, and mitigating minor capillary bleeding.
• Mucosal Protection & Barrier Formation: Forms a protective lubricant layer over delicate rectal membranes, shielding irritated mucosa from friction and chemical irritation during passage of stool.
• Soothing & Antiseptic Action (Balsam Peru & Bismuth Oxide): Delivers mild antiseptic properties to protect against local microbial colonization while soothing acute burning, soreness, and persistent anal itching (pruritus ani).

• Anusol Suppositories 12s is indicated for:
• Symptomatic management and discomfort relief of uncomplicated internal hemorrhoids (piles)
• Relief of anorectal soreness, pain, and itching associated with minor anal fissures and proctitis
• Soothing and protecting damaged perianal mucosa following bowel movements

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

• Rectal use only. Wash hands thoroughly before and after insertion. Remove one suppository from its plastic wrapper and insert it deeply into the rectum, ideally after a bowel movement and gentle cleansing.

Recommended Dosage:

• Adults: Insert 1 suppository rectally morning and night, and after each bowel movement as needed.

Precautions & Warnings:

• For rectal administration only; do not swallow. Consult a physician if rectal bleeding occurs, if symptoms persist for more than 7 days, or if condition worsens.
