Cartimove D Tablets 10s is a dual-action disease-modifying anti-osteoarthritic formulation combining Glucosamine and Diacerein to inhibit cartilage degradation, reduce synovial inflammation, rebuild connective tissue, and provide long-term joint pain relief.

1

Overview & Mechanism of Action

  • Cartimove D Tablets (strip of 10 tablets) provides targeted therapeutic action designed to slow the structural progression of osteoarthritis and maintain articular function:
  • Targeted Anti-Cytokine Action (Diacerein): Directly inhibits Interleukin-1 beta ($IL-1\beta$), a primary pro-inflammatory cytokine involved in cartilage destruction and synovial inflammation. Downregulates matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and lysosomal enzymes, preventing cartilage matrix breakdown and chondrocyte apoptosis.
  • Cartilage Matrix Biosynthesis (Glucosamine Sulfate/HCl): Functions as an essential biochemical precursor for glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), proteoglycans, and hyaluronic acid in the extracellular cartilage matrix and synovial fluid.
  • Synergistic Joint Protection & Lubrication: Enhances synovial fluid viscosity, reduces mechanical friction across weight-bearing joints, and promotes repair of micro-damaged articular surfaces over time.

Clinical Indications

  • Cartimove D Tablets 10s is indicated for:
  • Management and symptomatic relief of mild-to-moderate osteoarthritis of the knee, hip, and spine
  • Slowing the structural progression of joint space narrowing and cartilage loss
  • Relief of chronic joint stiffness, swelling, and movement-induced arthritic pain

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

  • Take orally with meals to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

Recommended Dosage:

  • Adults: 1 tablet once or twice daily, or as directed by an orthopedic physician. Clinical benefits typically manifest after 2 to 4 weeks of consistent administration.
