  • Castocap Capsules (pack of 10 softgel capsules) provide a convenient, taste-masked oral delivery system for high-grade castor oil derived from the seeds of Ricinus communis:
  • Stimulation of Intestinal Motility (Ricinoleic Acid): Upon oral ingestion and enzymatic hydrolysis by pancreatic lipases in the small intestine, the active constituent ricinoleic acid is released. It targets and activates $EP_3$ prostanoid receptors on smooth muscle cells within the intestinal wall, stimulating peristalsis and promoting fluid secretion to ease bowel evacuation.
  • Internal Lubrication & Mucosal Emollient Support: Acts as a heavy lipid lubricant within the gastrointestinal tract, softening hard stool consistency and easing transit through the colon.
  • Systemic & Skin Nourishment: Contains essential fatty acids and antioxidants that contribute to internal lipid balance, indirectly supporting skin hydration and nutrient supply to hair follicles.

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

  • Swallow capsules whole with a full glass of water. Take preferably on an empty stomach or between meals for fast effect.

Recommended Dosage:

  • Adults & Children over 12 years: 1 to 2 capsules as a single dose for short-term bowel relief, or as directed by a healthcare professional.Children under 12 years: Not recommended unless prescribed by a physician.

Precautions & Warnings:

  • Do not use for more than 7 consecutive days without medical supervision, as prolonged use may cause laxative dependency, fluid loss, or electrolyte imbalances. Contraindicated during pregnancy (may induce uterine contractions), lactation, abdominal pain of unknown origin, intestinal obstruction, or acute inflammatory bowel conditions.
