Overview & Mechanism of Action

  • Cetramac 10mg Tablets (10s) is an oral antihistamine engineered to manage systemic and localized allergic reactions. Its active ingredient delivers targeted relief by inhibiting allergic response pathways:
  • Cetirizine Hydrochloride (10mg): A potent, long-acting, selective peripheral H1-receptor antagonist. It competitively binds to H1 histamine receptors on effector cells, preventing histamine from triggering vascular permeability, smooth muscle contraction, and sensory nerve activation.
  • Minimal Central Nervous System Penetration: As a second-generation antihistamine, Cetirizine exhibits low lipid solubility and limited penetration across the blood-brain barrier, offering effective allergy suppression with a significantly reduced incidence of sedation compared to first-generation antihistamines.
  • Anti-Inflammatory Modulation: Inhibits the late-phase recruitment of inflammatory cells (specifically eosinophils) to sites of allergic reaction, reducing long-term tissue irritation and swelling.
  • Clinical Indications
  • Cetramac 10mg Tablets 10s is indicated for the symptomatic relief of:
  • Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis (Hay Fever): Sneezing, nasal congestion, rhinorrhea (runny nose), and nasopharyngeal itching
  • Perennial Allergic Rhinitis: Year-round allergic symptoms caused by dust mites, pet dander, or mold spores
  • Allergic Conjunctivitis: Itchy, red, inflamed, and watery eyes
  • Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria: Itchy wheals, skin hives, and localized allergic swellings
  • Dermatological Allergic Reactions: Pruritus and skin irritation associated with insect bites or contact allergies
  • Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

  • Recommended Dosage:
