Overview & Mechanism of Action

  • Cipladon 1000mg Tablets (8s) is a high-dose oral pain relief therapy designed for fast action in managing acute or intense painful conditions. Containing a full adult unit dose of 1 gram of Paracetamol per tablet, it works centrally to block pain signaling and regulate temperature:
  • Paracetamol / Acetaminophen (1000 mg): Directly inhibits central cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes within the central nervous system, suppressing prostaglandin synthesis to elevate the pain perception threshold.
  • Antipyretic Thermo-Regulation: Acts on the heat-regulating center of the hypothalamus to facilitate peripheral vasodilation and sweating, efficiently bringing down elevated body temperatures during high fevers.
  • Gastric Tolerability: Unlike Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen, aspirin, or diclofenac, paracetamol does not cause gastric mucosa irritation or bleeding, making it suitable for individuals with sensitive stomachs.

  • Cipladon 1000mg Tablets 8s is indicated for:
  • Rapid relief of moderate to severe pain, acute tension headaches, and severe migraines
  • Managing acute dental pain, tooth extractions, and post-procedural soreness
  • Easing severe musculoskeletal pain, back pain, joint stiffness, and athletic injuries
  • Relief of severe menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea)
  • Rapid reduction of high fever, chills, and body aches associated with acute viral infections and flu
  • Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions
  • Administration: Dissolve or swallow whole with water (depending on whether utilizing the effervescent or standard tablet variant), preferably after meals or a snack.
  • Recommended Dosage:
  • Adults & Adolescents (over 50 kg / 15 years and older): 1 tablet (1000 mg) every 4 to 6 hours as needed.
  • Maximum Limit: Do NOT exceed 4 tablets (4000 mg) within any 24-hour period. Allow at least 4 hours between doses.
  • Children & Adolescents under 50 kg: Not recommended in this 1000mg single-tablet strength.
  • Critical Safety Warnings: Do not exceed the maximum daily limit of 4000 mg per 24 hours. Accidental paracetamol overdose can lead to severe and irreversible liver damage (hepatotoxicity). Always verify ingredients in concomitant cold, flu, sinus, or cough medications to avoid double-dosing paracetamol.
  • Contraindications: Contraindicated in patients with severe hepatic failure or active end-stage liver disease. Use with extreme caution in chronic alcoholism or severe renal impairment.
