Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Clozole-B Cream (15g) is a broad-spectrum combination topical medication designed for dermatological conditions where fungal infection coexists with significant inflammation:
• Clotrimazole (1.0% w/w): A synthetic imidazole antifungal agent that inhibits ergosterol synthesis in fungal cell membranes. This compromises the structural integrity of the cell membrane, stopping fungal growth and causing cell lysis.
• Beclomethasone Dipropionate (0.025% w/w): A halogenated corticosteroid with potent anti-inflammatory, antipuritic, and vasoconstrictive properties. It acts by suppressing the release of inflammatory mediators (like histamine and prostaglandins) to rapidly decrease redness, heat, swelling, and itchiness.
• Clinical Indications
• Clozole-B Cream is indicated for the topical treatment of superficial, inflamed skin infections caused by dermatophytes and yeast, including:
• Tinea Pedis (Athlete's foot)
• Tinea Cruris (Jock itch)
• Tinea Corporis (Ringworm of the body)
• Cutaneous Candidiasis (Intertrigo and yeast skin fold infections)
• Inflammatory Eczema/Dermatitis secondarily infected by sensitive fungal organisms
• Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions
• Application: Clean and dry the affected skin area thoroughly before use. Apply a thin layer and gently rub in until absorbed, typically 1 to 2 times daily as prescribed.
• Duration: Intended for short-term continuous use (usually 1–2 weeks for tinea cruris/corporis and up to 4 weeks for tinea pedis). Do not exceed recommended treatment durations without clinical re-evaluation.
• Precautions: For external topical use only. Keep away from eyes, mouth, open wounds, or mucous membranes. Avoid applying under occlusive dressings or bandages. Prolonged application on delicate skin areas (such as the face or groin) can cause localized skin thinning (atrophy), striae, or systemic corticosteroid absorption.
