Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Dentogel Gel (10g tube) provides targeted, fast-acting pain relief and anti-inflammatory care directly for painful oral mucosal lesions:
• Rapid Local Anesthesia (Lignocaine Hydrochloride): Reversibly blocks voltage-gated sodium ($\text{Na}^+$) channels along localized peripheral nerve endings in the oral mucosa. This halts nerve membrane depolarization and prevents the transmission of pain impulses to the central nervous system within minutes.
• Localized Anti-Inflammatory Action (Choline Salicylate): Inhibits cyclooxygenase ($COX$) enzymes to decrease the synthesis of pro-inflammatory prostaglandins. This reduces tissue swelling, vascular redness, and throbbing pain at the site of mucosal ulcers.
• Antiseptic Barrier Protection (Benzalkonium Chloride): Provides mild antibacterial action to sanitize the lesion surface, reducing the risk of secondary bacterial contamination in open aphthous ulcers.

Clinical Indications

• Dentogel Gel 10g is indicated for:
• Fast relief from painful mouth ulcers (aphthous stomatitis) and recurrent oral aphthae
• Management of mucosal irritation, abrasions, and sore spots caused by dentures, orthodontic brackets, or dental appliances
• Symptomatic treatment of inflamed gums (gingivitis), tongue sores, and minor traumatic oral lesions

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

• Wash hands thoroughly before application. Apply a small, pea-sized amount of gel directly to the affected painful area in the mouth using a clean fingertip or cotton swab. Gently rub in a thin layer. Reapply every 3 to 4 hours as needed, up to 3 to 4 times daily.

Precautions & Warnings:

• For topical intraoral application only; avoid swallowing excessive quantities. Refrain from eating, drinking, or rinsing the mouth for at least 15 to 30 minutes after application to allow maximum mucosal adhesion and drug absorption. Do not use continuously for more than 7 days without consulting a dentist or physician. Store below $25^\circ\text{C}$ in a dry place protected from direct heat and light. Keep out of reach of children.
