Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Foetasafe Capsules (30-capsule pack) provides a balanced prenatal and post-natal micronutrient formulation designed to meet increased metabolic demands during pregnancy and lactation:
• Prevention of Neural Tube Defects & DNA Synthesis (Folic Acid / Vitamin B9): Delivers therapeutic levels of active folate, essential for nucleotide synthesis, cellular proliferation, and neural plate closure during early embryonic development, significantly reducing the risk of neural tube defects (such as spina bifida and anencephaly).
• Maternal Blood Volume Expansion & Oxygen Delivery (Elemental Iron): Provides bioavailable iron to support elevated maternal erythropoiesis, expanding red blood cell mass to meet fetal oxygen requirements and prevent maternal iron-deficiency anemia.
• Fetal Tissue & Immune Development (Zinc & Trace Minerals): Incorporates elemental zinc to support enzymatic nucleic acid replication, protein synthesis, cellular cleavage, and maternal-fetal immune defense.

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

• Swallow 1 capsule whole with a glass of water, preferably during or immediately after a main meal to enhance absorption and minimize pregnancy-related morning nausea or gastric discomfort. Do not chew or crush the capsule.

Recommended Dosage:

• Pre-conception & Pregnant Women: 1 capsule daily, or strictly as directed by an obstetrician or healthcare professional.

Precautions & Warnings:

• Unabsorbed iron may cause harmless dark discoloration of the stool. Do not consume concurrently with tea, coffee, milk, or calcium supplements; separate intake by at least 2 hours to avoid inhibition of iron absorption. Keep out of reach of children, as accidental iron overdose in infants can be dangerous. Store below $25^\circ\text{C}$ in a cool, dry place protected from direct heat, light, and moisture.
