Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Gofen 400mg (60s pack) contains clear liquid-filled softgel capsules of solubilized ibuprofen, a classic Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) engineered for accelerated gastrointestinal absorption and rapid onset of action:
• Inhibition of Cyclooxygenase (COX) Enzymes: Reversibly inhibits both COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes, thereby blocking the conversion of arachidonic acid into pro-inflammatory prostaglandins. This reduces peripheral pain sensitivity, tissue swelling, and vascular inflammation.

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

• Administration: Swallow 1 capsule whole with a full glass of water. Take with food, milk, or immediately after a meal to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort. Do not chew or puncture the capsule.

Recommended Dosage:

• Adults & Children over 12 years: 1 capsule (400mg) every 6 to 8 hours as needed. Do not exceed 3 capsules (1,200mg) within a 24-hour period unless directed by a physician.
• Children under 12 years: Not recommended unless under direct medical supervision.

Precautions & Warnings: Use with caution in patients with a history of peptic ulcer disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, uncontrolled hypertension, or renal impairment.
