Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Hirudoid Gel (40g tube, Mucopolysaccharide Polysulfate 0.3%) delivers targeted organo-heparinoid activity directly through the dermal tissue to treat superficial vascular and microvascular conditions:
• Fibrinolytic & Antithrombotic Activity (Mucopolysaccharide Polysulfate): Promotes local microcirculation by inhibiting thrombus formation and accelerating the breakdown and reabsorption of micro-clots, fibrin deposits, and localized extravasated blood (hematomas and bruises).
• Anti-Inflammatory & Anti-Exudative Effect: Inhibits catabolic enzymes (including hyaluronidase and elastase) that degrade intercellular matrix tissue, decreasing capillary permeability, suppressing inflammatory prostaglandin synthesis, and reducing tissue swelling and edema.
• Tissue Regeneration & Cooling Relief: Formulated in a fast-penetrating, non-greasy gel matrix that provides an immediate cooling effect upon application, enhancing local tissue perfusion and supporting collagen matrix structure for scar softening and skin recovery.

Clinical Indications

• Hirudoid Gel 40g is indicated for:
• Treatment and symptom relief of superficial thrombophlebitis, phlebitis, and localized vein inflammation
• Acceleration of hematoma, contusion, and bruise resolution following physical trauma, surgery, or venipuncture
• Relief of pain, heaviness, and localized edema associated with varicose veins, sprains, strains, and soft tissue injuries
• Supportive treatment for softening hard, raised scars and improving tissue elasticity

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

• Apply a 3 to 5 cm line of gel gently to the affected area 2 to 3 times daily, spreading evenly. For painful or tender superficial vein inflammation (phlebitis), smooth the gel over the area without massaging. Allow the gel to air-dry completely.

Precautions & Warnings:

• For external dermatological use only; do not apply to open wounds, broken skin, infected lesions, mucous membranes, or near the eyes. Discontinue use if local hypersensitivity, rash, or contact dermatitis occurs. Do not use in patients with known hypersensitivity to mucopolysaccharide polysulfate or preservatives. Store below $25^\circ\text{C}$ in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
