• Enzymatic Hydrolysis of Lactose: Delivers targeted lactase enzyme ($\beta$-galactosidase) directly into the gastrointestinal tract during meal intake. Lactase splits the complex disaccharide lactose into the easily absorbable monosaccharides glucose and galactose.
• Prevention of Colonic Fermentation: By ensuring complete breakdown and absorption of lactose within the small intestine, it prevents unabsorbed disaccharides from reaching the large intestine.
