- Optive Plus Eye Drops (10ml multi-dose bottle) provides an advanced dual-polymer and lipid combination designed to target all three layers of the tear film:
- Lipid Layer Restoration (Castor Oil & Polysorbate 80): Replenishes the outermost lipid layer of the tear film, reducing excessive aqueous evaporation and stabilizing tear dynamics affected by meibomian gland dysfunction.
- Epithelial Osmoprotection & Lubrication (Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose & Glycerin): Delivers a high-viscosity hydrocolloid shield that lubricates the corneal and conjunctival surfaces. Osmoprotectants penetrate hyperosmotic epithelial cells to prevent cellular dehydration and inflammation.
- Transient Preservative Technology (Purite): Preserved with Purite, an advanced, gentle compound that dissolves into natural tear components (sodium chloride, water, and oxygen) upon exposure to ambient light and air, minimizing ocular surface irritation.
Clinical Indications & Uses
- Optive Plus Eye Drops 10ml is indicated for:
- Symptomatic relief of moderate-to-severe dry eye disease, including burning, stinging, dryness, and foreign body sensation
- Management of evaporative dry eye secondary to meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) or prolonged digital screen use
- Ocular surface hydration and protection against environmental drying factors such as wind, smoke, pollution, or air conditioning
Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions
Administration:
- Tilt head back, gently pull down the lower eyelid to form a pocket, and instill 1 or 2 drops into the affected eye(s). Blink several times to ensure even distribution.
Recommended Dosage:
- Instill 1 to 2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed throughout the day, or as directed by an eye care specialist.
Precautions & Warnings:
- For topical ophthalmic use only. Do not touch the bottle dropper tip to the eye, fingers, or any surface to prevent bacterial contamination. If using contact lenses, remove lenses prior to instillation and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting. Discontinue use and consult an ophthalmologist if you experience eye pain, changes in vision, ongoing redness, or worsening irritation. Store below $25^\circ\text{C}$ in a cool place. Discard 6 months after first opening. Keep out of reach of children.
