Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Refresh Tears Eye Drops (15ml bottle formulated with Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium 0.5% w/v in a sterile, isotonic lubricating solution) provides targeted ocular surface hydration and tear film stabilization:
• Tear Film Stabilization & Lubrication: Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium (CMC) is a high-molecular-weight hydrophilic polymer that mimics the viscoelastic properties of natural mucin in tear fluid. It binds to the corneal and conjunctival epithelium, forming a protective, lubricating layer that reduces tear evaporation.
• Corneal Epithelium Protection: Accelerates ocular surface healing by maintaining a stable precorneal tear film, protecting raw corneal epithelial cells from friction caused by blinking and environmental exposure.
• Osmotic & Mechanical Relief: Flushes away fine particulate irritants, pollen, and dust while restoring normal osmotic balance across dry or hyperosmolar ocular tissues.

Clinical Indications & Uses

• Refresh Tears Eye Drops 15ml is indicated for:
• Temporary relief of burning, stinging, irritation, and dryness associated with dry eye syndrome or environmental exposure (wind, sun, smoke, air conditioning, and extended screen time)
• Symptomatic lubrication for ocular discomfort caused by hard or soft contact lens wear
• Protecting ocular tissues against further irritation or micro-trauma in chronic low tear production states

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

• Instill 1 to 2 drops into the affected eye(s) as needed. Tilt head back, pull down the lower eyelid to form a pocket, and gently squeeze the bottle. Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface (including the eye) to prevent contamination.

Recommended Dosage:

• Adults and Children: Instill 1 to 2 drops in the affected eye(s) 3 to 4 times daily, or as frequently as needed to maintain eye comfort.

Precautions & Warnings:

• For ophthalmic use only. Do not use if solution changes color or becomes cloudy. Discontinue use and consult an eye care professional if you experience eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness/irritation, or if symptoms worsen or persist beyond 72 hours. Remove soft contact lenses prior to application if advised by your eye specialist, or ensure compatibility. Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Keep bottle tightly closed when not in use. Keep out of reach of children.
