Overview & Mechanism of Action

  • Rohto Dry Aid Eye Drops (10ml bottle) utilizes a proprietary micro-emulsion formula engineered to target the root causes of evaporative and aqueous-deficient dry eyes:
  • Tear Film Restoration (Tearshield Technology): Restores and stabilizes all three layers of the lacrimal tear film—lipid, aqueous, and mucin. The micro-emulsion lipid layer seals in moisture and prevents tear evaporation, maintaining corneal hydration.
  • Friction & Irritation Reduction (Propylene Glycol & Povidone): Provides immediate lubrication across the ocular surface, reducing friction caused by blinking over dry or inflamed corneal tissues and alleviating sensations of grittiness, stinging, and redness.
  • Sustained Soothing & Non-Blurring Comfort: Delivers long-lasting moisture retention (up to 12 hours of continuous comfort) while maintaining clear vision without persistent blurring upon instillation.

Clinical Indications

  • Rohto Dry Aid Eye Drops 10ml is indicated for:
  • Fast, sustained relief from dry eye symptoms caused by environmental stressors (wind, dry air, air conditioning, heating)
  • Alleviation of eye fatigue, burning, and dryness associated with prolonged digital screen use (computer, smartphone, TV)
  • Restoring tear film equilibrium in individuals suffering from evaporative dry eye or contact lens-related dryness

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

  • Wash hands thoroughly before use. Tilt head back, pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket, and instill 1 or 2 drops into the affected eye(s) as needed. Blink several times to distribute the drops evenly across the eye surface.

Precautions & Warnings:

  • For ophthalmic use only. Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface, including the eye or fingers, to prevent contamination. Remove contact lenses prior to instillation and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting, unless instructed otherwise by an eye care professional. Discontinue use and consult an optometrist or ophthalmologist if eye pain, changes in vision, persistent redness, or worsening eye irritation occurs. Store below $25^\circ\text{C}$ in a cool, dry place. Keep bottle tightly closed when not in use. Keep out of reach of children.
