Overview & Mechanism of Action

  • Urine Bags with Outlet 2 Litre (sterile 2000ml closed-system urinary collection reservoir equipped with anti-reflux valves and bottom drainage outlets) provide reliable, hygienic urinary collection for catheterized patients:
  • Closed Drainage & Anti-Reflux Defense: Features a one-way non-return valve (anti-reflux valve) that prevents urine from flowing back up the kink-resistant tubing into the bladder, significantly reducing the risk of catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI).
  • High Capacity & Calibrated Monitoring: Designed with a 2-liter translucent collection chamber marked with clear volumetric graduations, allowing healthcare providers and caregivers to measure urine output accurately over extended periods.
  • Hygienic Emptying Mechanism: Equipped with a bottom T-tap or push-pull drainage valve that enables quick, touch-free emptying without disconnecting the catheter or compromising system sterility.

Clinical Indications & Uses

  • Urine Bags with Outlet 2 Litre are indicated for:
  • Continuous urinary drainage in catheterized patients using indwelling Foley catheters, suprapubic catheters, or male external condom catheters
  • Post-surgical, bedridden, or immobilized patients requiring passive urinary output collection and fluid balance tracking
  • Management of urinary incontinence, acute urinary retention, or neurogenic bladder disorders requiring closed drainage systems

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration & Fitting:

  • Connect the universal stepped tubing connector securely to the drainage funnel of an indwelling catheter. Hang the bag below bladder level using the reinforced eyelets or bed hangers, ensuring the tubing hangs free without kinks or loops.

Usage & Drainage:

  • Monitor urine levels regularly using the calibrated volume markings. Open the bottom outlet valve to empty urine into a clean container when the bag reaches 2/3 capacity or during routine nursing shifts. Close the valve tightly after emptying.

Precautions & Warnings:

  • For single-patient medical use only. Do not raise the drainage bag above the level of the patient's bladder to prevent gravitational reflux. Ensure the collection system remains closed and sterile at all times to minimize infection risks. Discard damaged or contaminated units immediately. Store in a cool, dry place protected from heat and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
