Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Waxoff Drops ($10\text{ml}$ otic solution engineered with surfactant and emollient softening agents) breaks down hardened cerumen deposits within the external auditory canal:
• Cerumen Disintegration & Penetration: Functions as a surface-tension lowering agent that penetrates dry, compacted cerumen matrices, dissolving sebum and disintegrating solid wax plugs.
• Epithelial Desquamation Relief: Hydrates dead skin cell debris bound within earwax, aiding the body's natural self-cleaning mechanism to migrate soft wax outward toward the external auditory meatus.
• Pre-Irrigation Preparation: Softens impacted plugs prior to clinical ear syringing or manual extraction, reducing mucosal friction, discomfort, and risk of canal wall trauma during mechanical removal.

Clinical Indications & Uses

• Waxoff 10ml is indicated for:
• Softening and removal of stubborn, impacted earwax causing conductive hearing loss, tinnitus, or ear canal fullness
• Softening hard earwax prior to professional ear irrigation (syringing) or otoscopic examination
• Regular hygiene maintenance for individuals prone to hyper-secretion of cerumen or frequent ear canal blockage

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

• Tilt head sideways with the affected ear facing upward. Instill 4 to 5 drops directly into the ear canal. Maintain the tilted position for 5 minutes (or insert a small cotton plug to retain drops). Repeat for the opposite ear if necessary.

Recommended Dosage:

• Adults and Children: Instill 4 to 5 drops twice daily for 3 to 5 consecutive days prior to ear washing/syringing, or as directed by an ENT specialist or pharmacist.

Precautions & Warnings:

• For otic (ear) use only. Contraindicated in patients with perforated tympanic membrane (ruptured eardrum), active otitis media/externa, ear discharge, bleeding, or acute ear pain. Discontinue use immediately and consult a physician if severe dizziness, pain, or skin irritation develops. Do not insert cotton swabs or sharp objects deep into the ear canal. Store below $25^\circ\text{C}$ in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
