Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Cachcet 10mg Tablets (100s) is a long-acting oral antihistamine formulated to manage multi-symptom allergic disorders in a convenient 100-tablet bulk pack. Designed for rapid onset and sustained daily symptom relief, its active formulation targets peripheral histamine pathways:
• Cetirizine Hydrochloride (10 mg): A potent, highly selective peripheral H1-receptor antagonist. It competitively blocks endogenous histamine from binding to peripheral H1 receptors on capillary endothelial cells and smooth muscle, suppressing vasodilation, tissue swelling, mucosal hypersecretion, and localized itching.
• Low Central Nervous System Penetration: As a second-generation antihistamine, Cetirizine exhibits low blood-brain barrier penetration. This offers effective 24-hour symptom relief with significantly reduced central sedation compared to legacy first-generation antihistamines.
• Late-Phase Inflammatory Inhibition: Suppresses the late-stage recruitment and migration of eosinophils to allergic reaction sites, helping diminish persistent tissue inflammation and skin reactivity.

• Perennial Allergic Rhinitis: Daily management of indoor allergies caused by dust mites, animal dander, and mold spores
• Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria: Easing intense itching, redness, and swelling associated with persistent skin hives
• Allergic Conjunctivitis: Relieving ocular tearing (watery eyes), redness, and eyelid irritation
• Allergic Skin Reactions: Reducing skin irritation, wheal formation, and pruritus from insect stings or contact allergens
• Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions
• Administration: Swallow tablets whole with a glass of water. Can be taken with or without food.
• Recommended Dosage:
• Adults & Children (over 12 years): 1 tablet (10 mg) taken once daily.
• Children (6–12 years): ½ tablet (5 mg) twice daily or 1 tablet (10 mg) once daily.
• Elderly & Renal Impairment: A reduced dose (e.g., 5 mg daily) may be recommended under medical supervision.
