Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Calclap D3 Tablets (30s pack) provides essential micronutrient synergistic support designed to optimize bone mineralization and maintain systemic calcium homeostasis:
• Bone Mineral Density Support (Elemental Calcium): Delivers elemental calcium, the primary mineral matrix component required for bone formation, skeletal tissue mass, and enamel strength. Calcium ions ($Ca^{2+}$) are also critical for myocardial contractility, vascular tone regulation, blood coagulation cascades, and neuromuscular signaling.
• Intestinal Calcium Absorption (Vitamin D3 / Cholecalciferol): Vitamin $D_3$ undergoes hepatic and renal hydroxylation into its active form, calcitriol ($1,25(\text{OH})_2D_3$). Calcitriol binds to vitamin D receptors (VDR) in the intestinal mucosa, upregulating calbindin protein expression to increase active calcium absorption from the gut.
• Regulation of Parathyroid Hormone (PTH): Adequate calcium and vitamin $D_3$ levels suppress excess parathyroid hormone secretion, halting osteoclast-mediated bone resorption and preserving trabecular and cortical bone architecture.

• Prophylaxis and management of calcium and vitamin D3 deficiencies across adult and geriatric populations
• Adjunctive therapy in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis, osteopenia, and age-related bone fragility
• Supporting bone mineralization during post-menopausal hormone shifts, post-fracture recovery, or prolonged corticosteroid therapy
• Management of latent tetany, osteomalacia, and hypocalcemia

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

• Take orally with or immediately after a main meal for optimal absorption. Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

Recommended Dosage:

• Adults & Elderly: 1 tablet daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional.

Precautions & Warnings:

• Do not exceed the recommended daily allowance. Exercise caution in patients with renal impairment, kidney stones (nephrolithiasis), or sarcoidosis. Contraindicated in individuals with hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, or severe renal failure. Monitor serum calcium levels during prolonged high-dose therapy, especially when combined with thiazide diuretics or cardiac glycosides (digoxin).
