Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Cezine Syrup (60ml) is an oral liquid antihistamine specifically formulated for children and adult patients who prefer a liquid dosage form. Designed for fast and long-lasting allergy control, its active formula targets histamine response pathways:
• Cetirizine Hydrochloride (5 mg / 5 ml): A potent, highly selective peripheral H1-receptor antagonist. It competitively blocks free histamine from binding to H1 receptors on capillary endothelial cells and sensory nerves, thereby halting vasodilation, mucosal edema, excessive fluid secretion, and localized itching.
• Low Central Nervous System Penetration: As a second-generation antihistamine, Cetirizine exhibits low lipophilicity, restricting its passage across the blood-brain barrier. This offers effective 24-hour symptom relief with a significantly lower risk of sedation compared to traditional first-generation antihistamines.
• Eosinophil Suppression: Inhibits late-phase recruitment of eosinophils to allergic reaction sites, helping ease ongoing tissue inflammation and chronic skin reactivity.

• Cezine Syrup 60ml is indicated for:
• Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis (Hay Fever): Fast relief from sneezing, nasal congestion, rhinorrhea (runny nose), and nasopharyngeal itching
• Perennial Allergic Rhinitis: Daily management of year-round allergies triggered by dust mites, animal dander, and environmental molds
• Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria: Soothing intense itching, wheal formation, and red skin hives in children and adults
• Allergic Conjunctivitis: Alleviating ocular redness, lacrimation (watery eyes), and eyelid swelling
• Pruritus & Insect Bites: Easing skin irritation, allergic rashes, and itchiness from insect stings
• Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions
• Administration: Shake the bottle well before use. Use a calibrated measuring spoon or dosing syringe to ensure accurate administration.
• Recommended Dosage:
• Children (2–6 years): 2.5 ml (2.5 mg) once daily, or 2.5 ml twice daily (every 12 hours).
• Children (6–12 years): 5 ml (5 mg) twice daily or 10 ml (10 mg) once daily.
• Adults & Children (over 12 years): 10 ml (10 mg) once daily.
• Precautions & Warnings: Generally well tolerated. Although non-drowsy for most children, mild somnolence may occur in sensitive individuals. Dose adjustments are required for patients with moderate-to-severe renal impairment. Avoid concurrent administration with central nervous system depressants unless advised by a physician.
