Overview & Mechanism of Action
- Orent Sachets (pack of 15 oral powder sachets) delivers a dual-action synbiotic combination engineered to re-establish gastrointestinal microecological balance:
- Probiotic Colonization & Competitive Exclusion: Supplies live beneficial bacterial strains (such as Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium species) that rapidly colonize the intestinal mucosal lining, outcompeting pathogenic microflora for epithelial binding sites and essential nutrients
- Prebiotic Fermentation & SCFA Production: Contains non-digestible prebiotic fibers (such as Fructooligosaccharides / FOS) that act as selective substrates for probiotic growth, stimulating the production of short-chain fatty acids ($\text{SCFAs}$, including butyrate and acetate) which nourish colonocytes and lower luminal $\text{pH}$.
- Epithelial Barrier Integrity & Immunomodulation: Enhances intestinal tight junction protein expression, reducing mucosal permeability ("leaky gut") and modulating gut-associated lymphoid tissue ($\text{GALT}$) responses to lessen local inflammation.
Clinical Indications & Uses
- Orent Sachets 15s is indicated for:
- Prevention and management of antibiotic-associated diarrhea (AAD) and gastrointestinal disturbances during or following anti-infective therapy
- Adjunctive treatment of acute infectious diarrhea and gastroenteritis in children and adults
- Relief of symptoms associated with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and gut dysbiosis, including abdominal cramps, flatulence, and irregular bowel habits
Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions
Administration:
- Dissolve the contents of 1 sachet in a glass of cool or room-temperature water, milk, or juice. Stir well and consume immediately. Do not mix with hot liquids or alcohol, as high heat degrades live probiotic cultures.
Recommended Dosage:
- Adults and Children: Take 1 to 2 sachets daily, or as directed by a physician. If taken alongside antibiotics, administer Orent at least 2 hours before or after the antibiotic dose.
Precautions & Warnings:
- For oral administration only. Use with caution in severely immunocompromised individuals, critically ill patients, or those with central venous catheters due to the rare risk of systemic translocation. Mild transient flatulence or abdominal bloating may occur during the first few days of initiation. Store below $25^\circ\text{C}$ in a cool, dry place away from heat and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
