Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Acne Clear 5% Gel ($20\text{g}$ tube containing Benzoyl Peroxide $5\%\text{ w/w}$) provides targeted, multi-action therapy against inflammatory and non-inflammatory acne lesions:
• Bactericidal Oxygen Release: Decomposes rapidly upon contact with skin tissue to release reactive oxygen species. This creates an aerobic environment within follicular pilosebaceous units that kills anaerobic Cutibacterium acnes (C. acnes) bacteria without inducing antimicrobial resistance.
• Keratolytic & Comedolytic Cleansing: Accelerates epidermal cell turnover and loosens hyperkeratinized follicular plugs (blackheads and whiteheads), clearing trapped sebum and cellular debris from pore openings.
• Sebostatic & Anti-Inflammatory Action: Suppresses localized cutaneous inflammation, reduces free fatty acid levels in sebum, and dries up active papules and pustules to reduce visible swelling and skin redness.

Clinical Indications & Uses

• Acne Clear 5% Gel 20g is indicated for:
• Topical treatment of mild-to-moderate inflammatory and non-inflammatory acne vulgaris on the face, neck, chest, or back
• Prevention of recurrent comedones (blackheads and whiteheads) and painful inflammatory acne papules
• Adjunctive topical co-therapy alongside oral systemic or topical antibiotics to reduce the emergence of resistant bacterial strains

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

• Cleanse skin gently with a mild cleanser and pat dry completely. Apply a thin layer of gel to the entire affected area 1 to 2 times daily. Avoid aggressive scrubbing.

Recommended Dosage:

• Adults and Adolescents: Start with once-daily application in the evening for the first week to test skin tolerance, increasing to twice daily (morning and evening) if tolerated and recommended by a dermatologist.

Precautions & Warnings:

• For external dermatological use only. Avoid contact with eyes, eyelids, lips, nostrils, and broken or inflamed skin. Benzoyl Peroxide will bleach colored fabrics, hair, towels, and clothing; wash hands thoroughly after application. Transient mild stinging, redness, dryness, and flaking are expected during the initial 1 to 2 weeks of use. Discontinue use if severe allergic contact dermatitis or intense skin irritation occurs. Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen during the day, as skin may become more photosensitive. Store below $25^\circ\text{C}$ in a cool, dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
