Overview & Mechanism of Action
- Acnevate Gel (30g) is a targeted dermatological topical gel specifically formulated for the treatment and ongoing management of mild-to-moderate acne vulgaris. It operates through complementary therapeutic pathways to treat active breakouts and prevent future lesions:
- Targeted Antibacterial Action (Clindamycin Phosphate): Inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit of Cutibacterium acnes (Propionibacterium acnes), significantly reducing bacterial colonization within hair follicles and sebaceous glands.
- Anti-Inflammatory & Sebum-Control Action (Nicotinamide / Niacinamide): Inhibits pro-inflammatory cytokines, reducing cutaneous redness, swelling, and localized tissue irritation. Additionally, it helps regulate sebum production and prevents post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
- Non-Comedogenic Penetration: The lightweight, water-based gel vehicle penetrates deeply into clogged pores without leaving an oily residue or exacerbating comedone formation.
Clinical Indications
- Acnevate Gel 30g is indicated for:
- Treatment of mild to moderate inflammatory acne vulgaris (papules, pustules, and inflamed spots)
- Clearing blocked pores and preventing the formation of new acne comedones
- Reducing post-acne inflammatory redness, hyperpigmentation, and skin blemishes
- Soothing cutaneous inflammation and balancing sebum production in acne-prone skin
