  • Cetrino 1% Antiseptic Cream (24gm) is an essential first-aid topical application designed to protect broken or irritated skin from bacterial contamination. Its active formulation provides effective antimicrobial cleansing without causing severe tissue stinging:
  • Cetrimide (1% w/w): A quaternary ammonium surfactant and broad-spectrum cationic antiseptic. It acts by disrupting microbial cell membranes, altering membrane permeability, and causing the leakage of intracellular components, leading to cell lysis and bacterial death.
  • Gentle Cleansing Base: Functions as a mild detergent and emollient, helping loosen debris, dried blood, and dirt from open skin abrasions while soothing dry or irritated epidermal layers.
  • Clinical Indications
  • Cetrino 1% Antiseptic Cream 24gm is indicated for:
  • Disinfecting and preventing localized infections in minor cuts, grazes, scrapes, and abrasions
  • Immediate first-aid management of minor surface burns, scalds, and sunburns
  • Soothing and preventing secondary bacterial infections in insect bites, stings, and chapped skin
  • Hygienic treatment for minor skin rashes, friction sores, and mild nappy rash
  • Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions
  • Administration: For external topical use only. Cleanse the affected skin area thoroughly before application. Apply a thin layer of Cetrino cream directly onto the wound or surrounding skin 1 to 3 times daily. If necessary, cover with a sterile bandage or gauze dressing.
  • Contraindications: Do not apply if there is a known hypersensitivity or allergic reaction to Cetrimide or quaternary ammonium compounds. Not intended for deep puncture wounds, severe third-degree burns, or animal bites without medical evaluation.
  • Precautions & Warnings: Avoid contact with eyes, ears (do not use in deep ear canal perforations), and mucous membranes. If accidental contact occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water. Discontinue use if localized skin irritation, rash, or excessive dryness develops.
