Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Cetriplus Syrup (60ml bottle) is a second-generation $H_1$-receptor antagonist engineered for long-acting, targeted relief from peripheral allergic reactions:
• Selective Peripheral $H_1$-Receptor Antagonism (Cetirizine HCl): Selectively inhibits peripheral $H_1$ histamine receptors on capillary endothelial cells, sensory nerve endings, and smooth muscle. By blocking endogenous histamine binding, it interrupts the allergic response cascade without significant affinity for central muscarinic, cholinergic, or serotonergic receptors.
• Inhibition of Inflammatory Mediator Migration: Suppresses the late-phase recruitment of inflammatory cells (specifically eosinophils) to target tissues, reducing vascular permeability, localized tissue swelling, and hyper-reactivity in the nasal mucosa and skin.
• Low Blood-Brain Barrier Penetration: Poorly crosses the blood-brain barrier compared to first-generation antihistamines, delivering potent anti-allergic action with a significantly lower incidence of central sedation or impairment.

Clinical Indications

• Cetriplus Syrup 60ml is indicated for:
• Rapid relief of nasal and ocular symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and perennial allergic rhinitis (dust, mold, and pet dander allergies)
• Symptomatic treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives), relieving localized itching, erythema, and wheal formation
• Management of allergic skin conditions, pruritus, and allergic conjunctivitis

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

• Measure the dose accurately using a medicinal measuring spoon or syringe. May be taken with or without food.

Recommended Dosage:

• Adults & Children over 12 years: 10ml (10mg) once daily.Children 6 to 12 years: 5ml (5mg) twice daily or 10ml (10mg) once daily.Children 2 to 6 years: 2.5ml (2.5mg) twice daily or 5ml (5mg) once daily.Children under 2 years: Use only under direct pediatric supervision.

Precautions & Warnings:

• Although non-sedating for most individuals, exercise caution when driving or operating machinery until personal tolerance is established. Avoid concurrent consumption of alcohol or central nervous system depressants. Dosage adjustments are required in patients with moderate to severe renal impairment. Store below 30°C in a dry place away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
