  • Cipladon 500mg Tablets (16s) is an essential oral pain relief and fever-reducing therapy manufactured to provide prompt relief from acute body discomfort. Its active ingredient targets pain perception pathways within the central nervous system:
  • Paracetamol / Acetaminophen (500 mg): Acts primarily by inhibiting central cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, thereby reducing prostaglandin synthesis in the brain and spinal cord. This raises the body's overall pain threshold to relieve mild-to-moderate physical discomfort.
  • Antipyretic Thermo-Regulation: Works directly on the hypothalamic heat-regulating center in the brain to increase peripheral blood flow, sweating, and cutaneous heat loss, bringing down elevated body temperature during fever.
  • Gastric-Friendly Profile: Unlike non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen or aspirin, paracetamol does not inhibit peripheral prostaglandins or damage the gastric mucosal lining, making it gentler on the stomach.

  • Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions
  • Administration: Swallow tablets whole with water or dissolve in water if using the effervescent variant, preferably after meals or snacks.
  • Recommended Dosage:
  • Adults & Children over 12 years: 1 to 2 tablets (500 mg to 1000 mg) taken every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Do not exceed 8 tablets (4000 mg) within a 24-hour period.
  • Children (6–12 years): ½ to 1 tablet (250 mg to 500 mg) every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Maximum 4 tablets (2000 mg) per 24 hours.
  • Children under 6 years: Not recommended unless prescribed in a suitable paediatric liquid suspension.
  • Precautions & Warnings (Critical Safety): Do not exceed the maximum daily dose of 4g (4000 mg) per day. Accidental overdose of paracetamol can cause severe, irreversible liver damage (hepatotoxicity). Always check ingredients of concurrent cough, cold, or sinus medications to avoid taking multiple paracetamol-containing products simultaneously.
