DACOLD CAPS 100S

Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Dacold Capsules (100-capsule bulk pack) delivers a targeted multi-active combination engineered to address the full spectrum of upper respiratory cold and flu symptoms:
• Analgesic & Antipyretic Action (Paracetamol): Inhibits central cyclooxygenase pathways to reduce prostaglandin synthesis, effectively raising the body's pain threshold and lowering elevated body temperature at the hypothalamic heat-regulating center.
• Nasal & Sinus Decongestion (Phenylephrine HCl): Functions as a selective alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist, causing vasoconstriction of dilated microvascular beds in the nasal mucosa to decrease tissue edema, open obstructed airway passages, and drain sinus pressure.
• Antihistaminic & Antisecretory Relief (Chlorpheniramine Maleate): Competitively blocks peripheral $\text{H}_1$-histamine receptors to attenuate allergic response cascades, drying up hyper-secreting mucous membranes to halt rhinorrhea (runny nose), sneezing, and lacrimation (watery eyes).
