Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Dacold Capsules (100-capsule bulk pack) delivers a targeted multi-active combination engineered to address the full spectrum of upper respiratory cold and flu symptoms:
• Analgesic & Antipyretic Action (Paracetamol): Inhibits central cyclooxygenase ($\text{COX-1}$ and $\text{COX-2}$) pathways to reduce prostaglandin synthesis, effectively raising the body's pain threshold and lowering elevated body temperature at the hypothalamic heat-regulating center.
• Nasal & Sinus Decongestion (Phenylephrine HCl): Functions as a selective alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist, causing vasoconstriction of dilated microvascular beds in the nasal mucosa to decrease tissue edema, open obstructed airway passages, and drain sinus pressure.
• Antihistaminic & Antisecretory Relief (Chlorpheniramine Maleate): Competitively blocks peripheral $\text{H}_1$-histamine receptors to attenuate allergic response cascades, drying up hyper-secreting mucous membranes to halt rhinorrhea (runny nose), sneezing, and lacrimation (watery eyes).

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

• Swallow 1 to 2 capsules whole with a full glass of water every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Do not exceed 8 capsules (4000mg total paracetamol equivalent) in a 24-hour period.

Precautions & Warnings:

• For oral administration only. May cause drowsiness or lightheadedness; avoid driving, operating machinery, or performing hazardous tasks after administration. Avoid concurrent alcohol consumption or central nervous system depressants. Contraindicated or requires extreme caution in individuals with severe hypertension, ischemic heart disease, hyperthyroidism, narrow-angle glaucoma, or those receiving Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs) within the preceding 14 days.
