Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Delased Dry Non-Drowsy Syrup (100ml bottle) combines non-sedating antitussive and pharyngeal soothing agents engineered to quiet dry, tickly coughs while preserving daytime alertness:
• Central Non-Drowsy Cough Suppression (Dextromethorphan HBr): Acts directly on the cough reflex center in the medulla oblongata to raise the cough threshold, suppressing non-productive coughing spasms without inducing sedation or depressing respiratory drive
• Nasal Decongestion & Airway Clearance (Phenylephrine HCl): Stimulates alpha-adrenergic receptors to constrict dilated microvessels in the upper respiratory tract, reducing mucosal swelling, clearing nasal congestion, and easing breathing.
• Pharyngeal Demulcent & Soothing Action (Menthol & Glycerin): Forms a cooling, protective coating over hyper-reactive, inflamed pharyngeal membranes, immediately blunting the tickling sensation that triggers coughing fits.

Clinical Indications

• Delased Dry Non-Drowsy Syrup 100ml is indicated for:
• Symptomatic control of acute, dry, tickly, non-productive coughs caused by common colds, influenza, or environmental irritants
• Daytime cough management where alertness, cognitive focus, and active work or driving must be maintained
• Soothing pharyngeal dryness, throat irritation, and persistent airway tickle following upper respiratory viral infections

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before each dose. Measure accurately using a calibrated measuring cup or spoon.

Recommended Dosage:

• Adults and Adolescents over 12 years: 5ml to 10ml every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Do not exceed 40ml in a 24-hour period.
• Children 6–12 years: 2.5ml to 5ml every 4 to 6 hours as needed.
• Children under 6 years: Consult a healthcare professional prior to use.

Precautions & Warnings:

• For oral administration only. Formulated to be non-drowsy; however, individual sensitivity may vary. Contraindicated in patients taking Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs) or within 14 days of stopping MAOI therapy due to the risk of serotonin syndrome. Avoid co-administering with other sympathomimetic decongestants or central nervous system stimulants.
