Dentamol Tablets 20s is a fast-acting oral analgesic formulation engineered to deliver targeted, effective relief from acute toothaches, post-dental procedure discomfort, dental caries pain, and fever.

1

Overview & Mechanism of Action

  • Dentamol Tablets (pack of 20 tablets) provides reliable analgesia for acute dental discomfort and general pain management:
  • Central Prostaglandin Synthesis Inhibition (Paracetamol / Acetaminophen): Acts on the central nervous system to inhibit cyclooxygenase ($\text{COX}$) enzymes, reducing central prostaglandin synthesis to elevate the pain threshold and soothe acute dental pain signals.
  • Hypothalamic Thermoregulation: Resets the hypothalamic heat-regulating center to promote peripheral vasodilation and sweating, efficiently lowering elevated body temperatures during infection-related fever.
  • Gastrointestinal Tolerability: Offers effective pain relief with minimal gastric mucosal irritation, making it suitable for individuals with sensitive stomachs or as an oral analgesic following minor oral surgery.

Clinical Indications

  • Dentamol Tablets 20s is indicated for:
  • Relief of acute toothache, dental nerve pain, periodontal soreness, and pain following dental extractions or procedures
  • Symptomatic relief of headache, sinus pressure, and post-procedural facial discomfort
  • Reduction of fever and body aches associated with oral or upper respiratory tract infections
