Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Efferalgan Med 1g Effervescent (8-tablet pack) delivers high-potency, rapid-onset systemic pain and fever management:
• Central Analgesic Action (Paracetamol / Acetaminophen 1000mg): Inhibits central nervous system prostaglandin synthesis by selectively blocking cyclooxygenase ($COX$) enzymatic pathways in brain tissue. This elevates the pain threshold to effectively relieve acute pain across multiple tissue sites.
• Hypothalamic Antipyresis: Acts directly on the hypothalamic heat-regulating center to induce peripheral vasodilation, increasing cutaneous blood flow and sweating to rapidly dissipate body heat during acute feverish conditions.
• Rapid-Dissolve Effervescent Pharmacokinetics: Fully dissolves in liquid to create a buffered solution that bypasses slow stomach breakdown, promoting faster gastric emptying and rapid intestinal absorption compared to standard solid oral tablets.

Clinical Indications

• Efferalgan Med 1g Effervescent 8s is indicated for:
• Rapid symptomatic relief of acute mild to moderate pain, including tension headaches, migraines, dental pain, toothaches, dysmenorrhea (period pain), and postoperative pain
• Management of acute musculoskeletal aches, back pain, joint stiffness, and painful flare-ups of osteoarthritis
• Reduction of high body temperature and symptomatic discomfort associated with acute viral upper respiratory tract infections, common colds, and influenza

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

• Completely dissolve one 1g effervescent tablet in a full glass of water (approximately 200 ml). Drink immediately after effervescent fizzing ceases. Do not chew, break, or swallow the tablet whole.

Recommended Dosage:

• Adults and Adolescents (weighing over 50 kg / approx. 15 years and older): 1 tablet (1000mg) dissolved in water every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Maximum 4 tablets (4000mg / 4g) in a 24-hour period.
• Interval: Allow at least 4 hours between consecutive doses.

Precautions & Warnings:

• For oral administration only after complete dissolution in water. Severe Liver Damage Warning: Do not exceed the maximum daily dose of 4g paracetamol per day. Unintentional overdose or combining with other paracetamol-containing products can lead to severe, life-threatening hepatotoxicity. Exercise caution in individuals with severe hepatic impairment, chronic alcoholism, chronic malnutrition, dehydration, or severe renal insufficiency. Contains sodium; patients on a strict low-sodium diet should account for the sodium content per tablet. Store below 25°C in a dry place, tightly closed in its original packaging. Keep out of reach of children.
