  • Fevapyn Extra Suspension (100ml bottle) provides fast, concentrated antipyretic and analgesic relief tailored for children and juniors:
  • Targeted Central COX Inhibition (Paracetamol 250mg/5ml): Acts primarily within the central nervous system by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, decreasing prostaglandin ($PGE_2$) synthesis in the brain to raise pain thresholds.
  • Hypothalamic Thermoregulation: Acts directly on the hypothalamic heat-regulating center to promote peripheral vasodilation, sweating, and rapid heat dissipation, bringing down high body temperatures safely.
  • Gentle Gastric Profile: Provides reliable pain and fever management without causing gastric irritation, mucosal erosion, or interfering with blood platelet aggregation.

Clinical Indications

  • Fevapyn Extra Suspension 100ml is indicated for:
  • Rapid antipyretic management of high fever associated with viral upper respiratory infections, common cold, flu, and post-vaccination febrile reactions
  • Relief of mild-to-moderate pediatric pain, including teething pain, toothaches, earaches, sore throat, and headaches
  • Soothing systemic discomfort and body aches during acute childhood illnesses

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

  • Shake the bottle thoroughly before each use. Measure dosage accurately using a calibrated measuring cup, syringe, or spoon. May be taken with or without food.

Recommended Dosage (Paracetamol 250mg/5ml):

  • Children 6 to 12 years: 5ml to 10ml (250mg to 500mg) up to 4 times daily as needed.
  • Children 1 to 6 years: 2.5ml to 5ml (125mg to 250mg) up to 4 times daily as needed.
  • Children under 1 year: Strictly as directed by a pediatrician.
  • Dosing Interval: Leave at least 4 to 6 hours between doses. Do not exceed 4 doses in any 24-hour period.

Precautions & Warnings:

  • Do not combine with any other paracetamol-containing products or OTC cold remedies to avoid accidental liver toxicity. Consult a physician if fever lasts longer than 3 days or pain persists for more than 5 days. Store below 25°C in a dry place protected from direct heat and light. Keep out of reach of children.
