Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Gabanerve Tablets 10s is an oral combination therapy engineered to manage complex peripheral neuropathic pain and accelerate nerve fiber regeneration. It targets nerve pain transmission and tissue health through two synergistic active components:
• Neuropathic Analgesic Action (Gabapentin): Selectively binds to $\alpha_2\delta$ (alpha-2-delta) subunits of voltage-gated calcium channels within the central nervous system. This blocks calcium influx into presynaptic neurons, inhibiting the release of excitatory pain neurotransmitters (such as glutamate and substance P) to dampen overactive nerve signaling.
• Neurotropic Regeneration (Methylcobalamin / Active Vitamin B12): Acts as an essential coenzyme in neuronal protein and nucleic acid synthesis. It promotes myelin sheath repair, accelerates nerve cell regeneration, and restores impaired peripheral nerve conduction velocity.

Clinical Indications

• Gabanerve Tablets 10s is indicated for:
• Treatment of peripheral neuropathic pain associated with diabetic polyneuropathy
• Relief of persistent post-herpetic neuralgia following herpes zoster (shingles) outbreaks
• Management of pain, numbness, and burning sensations caused by spinal radiculopathy, cervical spondylosis, or sciatica
• Supporting peripheral nerve recovery in nutritional, alcoholic, or drug-induced neuropathies

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

• Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water. Do not crush, break, or chew the tablet. May be taken with or without food.
• Recommended Dosage: Adults: Typically 1 tablet taken 1 to 3 times daily, or as strictly prescribed by a physician based on pain severity and response.

Precautions & Warnings: May cause central nervous system depression, leading to dizziness, somnolence, fatigue, or unsteadiness. Exercise caution when driving or operating machinery. Do not discontinue treatment abruptly, as sudden withdrawal may cause rebound nerve discomfort; taper gradually under medical supervision. Adjust dosage in patients with compromised renal function.
