Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Micromol Effervescent 1g Tablets (pack of 8 high-potency effervescent tablets containing $1\text{g}$ / $1000\text{mg}$ Paracetamol) provides rapid systemic analgesia and antipyresis:
• Enhanced Gastric Absorption: The effervescent reaction releases carbon dioxide ($\text{CO}_2$) upon contact with water, accelerating gastric emptying and promoting rapid absorption across the small intestine for faster onset of therapeutic blood concentrations compared to standard swallowed tablets.
• Central Analgesia (Prostaglandin Inhibition): Inhibits central nervous system cyclooxygenase ($\text{COX}$) enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis within the central nervous system to elevate systemic pain threshold without causing gastric mucosal irritation.
• Hypothalamic Antipyresis: Acts directly on the hypothalamic heat-regulating center to induce peripheral vasodilation and sweating, facilitating rapid thermal dissipation during fever spikes.

Clinical Indications & Uses

• Micromol Effervescent 1g Tablets 8s is indicated for:
• Rapid relief of acute mild-to-moderate pain conditions, including tension headaches, migraines, toothaches, dysmenorrhea, and joint pain
• Management of elevated body temperature (fever) associated with viral or bacterial respiratory infections
• Symptomatic treatment of post-operative or post-traumatic pain where rapid oral pain relief is required or swallowing solid tablets is difficult

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

• Fully dissolve 1 effervescent tablet in a full glass of water ($150\text{--}200\text{ml}$) and drink immediately once effervescence stops. Do not chew or swallow the tablet whole.

Recommended Dosage:

• Adults and Adolescents over 50kg (12+ years): 1 tablet ($1\text{g}$) dissolved in water every 6 to 8 hours as needed. Do not exceed 4 tablets ($4\text{g}$ Paracetamol) in any 24-hour period.

Precautions & Warnings:

• For oral administration after dissolution. Contains high-dose Paracetamol; strictly avoid concurrent use with any other paracetamol-containing remedies to prevent severe, potentially fatal liver damage. Exercise caution in patients with hepatic impairment, chronic alcoholism, severe renal insufficiency, or chronic malnutrition. Contains sodium; account for sodium content in patients on restricted sodium diets. Store below $25^\circ\text{C}$ in a dry place with the tube tightly sealed to protect from moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
