Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Panadol Advance Tablets (60s pack) contains Paracetamol (500mg) formulated with advanced Optizorb disintegration technology to deliver rapid and reliable pain and fever relief:
• Optizorb Disintegration System: Combines a specialized mixture of alginic acid and calcium carbonate that rapidly swells upon contact with stomach acid. This causes the tablet to break down up to 5 times faster than standard paracetamol tablets, accelerating gastric dissolution and systemic absorption.
• Central Analgesic & Antipyretic Mechanism: Inhibits central prostaglandin synthesis via cyclooxygenase (COX) enzyme inhibition in the central nervous system. It raises the overall systemic pain threshold and acts on the hypothalamic thermoregulatory center to promote peripheral vasodilation and sweating, quickly lowering fever.
• Gentle Gastrointestinal Safety Profile: Does not cause gastric mucosal irritation or interfere with blood coagulation, making it safe for individuals with sensitive stomachs, peptic ulcer history, or standard NSAID intolerances.

Clinical Indications

• Panadol Advance Tablets 60s is indicated for:
• Rapid relief of mild to moderate pain including tension headaches, migraines, toothaches, and sore throats
• Management of joint and muscle pain, backache, dysmenorrhea (period pain), and osteoarthritis discomfort
• Reduction of elevated body temperature (fever) and associated body aches from colds, influenza, and post-vaccination reactions
• Daily pain management where stomach-friendly analgesia is required

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

• Swallow tablets whole with water or liquid. May be taken with or without food.

Recommended Dosage:

• Adults & Children 12 years and older: 1 to 2 tablets (500mg to 1000mg) every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Maximum 8 tablets (4000mg) in a 24-hour period.
• Children 6 to 11 years: ½ to 1 tablet (250mg to 500mg) every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Maximum 4 tablets (2000mg) in a 24-hour period.
• Children under 6 years: Not recommended.

Precautions & Warnings:

• Overdose Warning: Do not exceed the maximum daily dose. Severe liver damage or fatal hepatic injury can occur if taking more than the recommended amount. Do not use concurrently with any other paracetamol-containing products (e.g., cold and flu medications). Consult a physician before use if you have severe hepatic or renal impairment, or chronic alcohol dependence. Store below 30°C in a dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
