  • Trihistamin Syrup (60ml) is an oral combination therapy engineered to manage wet, productive coughs accompanied by upper respiratory congestion and allergic sensitivity. Its comprehensive formula targets both airway obstruction and mucosal irritation through multiple active mechanisms:
  • Antihistamine Action (Diphenhydramine BP & Promethazine BP): Blocks H1 histamine receptors to reduce allergic swelling in the pharynx, ease throat tickle, suppress excessive mucosal secretion, and quiet hyperactive cough reflexes.
  • Decongestant Action (Ephedrine BP): Acts as a sympathomimetic agent to reduce tissue swelling in congested nasal membranes and widen bronchial passages for smoother airflow.
  • Mucolytic & Expectorant Complex (Ammonium Chloride BP & Sodium Citrate BP): Stimulates respiratory tract fluid secretion, thinning dense, sticky mucous plugs so they can be easily coughed up and cleared from the airways.

  • Trihistamin Syrup 60ml is indicated for:
  • Symptomatic treatment of productive (wet) coughs associated with upper respiratory tract infections, common cold, and flu
  • Easing chest congestion, smoking bronchitis, and postnasal drip syndrome
  • Relieving cough complicated by seasonal allergic rhinitis, pharyngitis, and bronchial irritation

  • Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions
  • Administration: Shake the bottle well before each use. Measure the recommended dose using a calibrated measuring spoon or cup.
  • Recommended Dosage:
  • Adults & Children over 12 years: 5 ml to 10 ml taken 3 times daily.
  • Children (3–12 years): 5 ml taken 3 times daily.
  • Children (2–3 years): 2.5 ml taken 3 times daily.
  • Precautions & Warnings: May cause drowsiness, sedation, lightheadedness, or dry mouth. Avoid driving, operating heavy machinery, or consuming alcohol while using this medication. Use with caution in individuals with hypertension, cardiovascular conditions, hyperthyroidism, glaucoma, or urinary retention.
