Overview & Mechanism of Action
- Allucid Plus Suspension (100ml, Mint Flavour) is a balanced dual-action digestive formulation designed to provide rapid and extended relief from gastric hyperacidity, acid reflux, and painful abdominal bloating. It acts through synergistic chemical and physical mechanisms within the upper gastrointestinal tract:
- Acid-Neutralizing Antacid Action (Aluminium & Magnesium Hydroxide Complex / Magaldrate): Rapidly reacts with excess hydrochloric acid in the stomach lumen, raising gastric pH to safe levels. This buffers harsh gastric juices, decreases pepsin activity, and relieves painful burning sensations without triggering secondary acid rebound.
- Anti-Flatulent Defoaming Action (Simethicone): Alters the surface tension of trapped mucus-bound gas bubbles in the stomach and intestines. This causes small gas bubbles to coalesce into larger units that are easily dispersed through belching or flatus.
- Soothing Mucosal Protection & Mint Cooling: Forms a protective mucosal coating over hyperemic esophageal and gastric tissues, shielding ulcerated areas from peptic erosion while the cooling mint flavor provides immediate pharyngeal comfort.
Clinical Indications

- Relief of mucosal stomach pain associated with acute and chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, and non-ulcer dyspepsia
