Overview & Mechanism of Action

  • Colgate Toothpaste (70g tube) delivers essential multi-benefit oral prophylaxis to protect against tooth decay and maintain oral tissue health:
  • Enamel Remineralization & Cavity Protection (Sodium Monofluorophosphate / Sodium Fluoride): Delivers bioavailable fluoride ions to damaged or demineralized tooth enamel. Fluoride replaces hydroxyl ions in hydroxyapatite crystals to form fluorapatite, which is significantly more resistant to acid erosion caused by cariogenic oral bacteria (Streptococcus mutans).
  • Plaque & Stain Removal (Mild Abrasive System): Utilizes refined calcium carbonate or hydrated silica particles to physically polish tooth surfaces, lifting soft plaque biofilm, debris, and superficial food stains without abrading underlying enamel or dentin.
  • Long-Lasting Breath Freshening & Gum Health: Formulated with fresh mint essences that neutralize volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs) produced by oral bacteria, leaving the mouth feeling clean, refreshed, and protected throughout the day.

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

  • Apply a pea-sized amount of toothpaste onto a soft-bristled toothbrush. Brush teeth thoroughly for at least 2 minutes, ensuring coverage of all outer, inner, and chewing surfaces. Spit out thoroughly after brushing and rinse mouth with water. Brush twice daily, morning and night, or as recommended by a dentist.

Precautions & Warnings:

  • For dental oral use only. Do not swallow.
  • Children under 6 years: Use a pea-sized amount under adult supervision to minimize swallowing. In case of intake of fluoride from other sources, consult a dentist or doctor.
  • Discontinue use if localized oral irritation or mucosal sensitivity occurs. Keep out of reach of unsupervised young children. Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C away from direct heat.
