COLGATE TOTAL 12

Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Colgate Total 12 is an advanced, multi-benefit fluoride dentifrice engineered to deliver extended antibacterial protection for the whole mouth—including teeth, tongue, cheeks, and gums:
• Dual-Zinc & Arginine Antibacterial Technology / Stannous Fluoride: Creates a proactive protective barrier across oral surfaces that continually reduces bacteria and inhibits plaque re-attachment for up to 12 hours after brushing.
• Bioavailable Fluoride Complex: Replaces depleted minerals in tooth enamel to repair micro-cavities, increase acid resistance against dietary sugars, and seal exposed dentinal tubules to alleviate tooth sensitivity.
• Cleaning & Stain-Removal Matrix: Removes sticky bacterial plaque biofilm and gently lifts surface discoloration without eroding tooth enamel.
• Clinical Indications
• Colgate Total 12 Toothpaste is indicated for comprehensive daily oral healthcare, including:
• 12-hour continuous antibacterial protection against plaque accumulation
• Prevention and reduction of dental caries (tooth decay)
• Prevention and management of early gum disease (gingivitis and bleeding gums)
• Control of calculus (tartar) build-up along the gumline
• Remineralization and protection against dietary acid enamel erosion
• Management of dentin hypersensitivity
• Continuous neutralization of volatile sulfur compounds causing bad breath (halitosis)
• Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions
• Administration: Apply a ribbon of toothpaste to a soft-bristled toothbrush. Brush thoroughly for at least 2 minutes twice daily (morning and evening), gently covering all teeth, gums, and tongue.
• Pediatric Use: For children under 6 years of age, use a pea-sized amount and supervise brushing to minimize swallowing.
• Precautions: Do not swallow. Spit out and rinse thoroughly after brushing. Discontinue use and consult a dentist if irritation occurs.
