Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Gastro Gel (200ml) is an oral liquid suspension formulated for rapid and sustained relief from hyperacidity and gastrointestinal gas discomfort. It combines dual inorganic antacids with a silicone anti-foaming agent for synergistic digestive protection:
• Acid-Neutralizing Antacid Complex (Aluminium Hydroxide & Magnesium Hydroxide): Actively neutralizes excess hydrochloric acid in the stomach lumen, rapidly raising gastric pH to reduce pepsin activity. The balanced combination optimizes bowel transit—magnesium counteracts aluminium-induced constipation, while aluminium mitigates magnesium-induced diarrhea.
• Anti-Flatulent Action (Simethicone): Reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles trapped within the stomach and intestines, causing them to coalesce into larger bubbles that are easily eliminated through belching or flatus.
• Mucosal Surface Protection: Forms a protective coating over inflamed stomach linings and esophageal tissues, guarding ulcerated areas against acid damage.

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

• Administration: Shake the bottle thoroughly before each use. Take 5 ml to 10 ml (1 to 2 teaspoons) between meals and at bedtime, or as directed by a healthcare professional.

Recommended Dosage:

• Adults & Children over 12 years: 10 ml to 20 ml taken 4 times daily as needed.
• Children under 12 years: Consult a doctor before use.

Precautions & Warnings: Do not exceed 80 ml in a 24-hour period. Avoid prolonged or continuous use for more than 14 days unless advised by a physician. Use with caution in patients with renal impairment due to potential accumulation of aluminium and magnesium ions. Separate administration of other oral medications (such as fluoroquinolones, tetracyclines, and iron supplements) by at least 2 hours, as antacids reduce their absorption.
