Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Glycerine 50ml (Glycerol BP/USP) is a highly versatile, non-toxic trihydroxy alcohol with powerful hygroscopic and emollient properties:
• Hygroscopic Moisture Attraction: Acts as a potent humectant that draws moisture from the ambient air and deeper dermal layers into the stratum corneum, quickly restoring optimal skin hydration and rebuilding skin barrier integrity.
• Emollient & Mucosal Protection: Forms a protective, viscous physical layer over raw skin, chapped lips, or oral mucosal sores (such as aphthous ulcers), shielding tissue from friction, drying out, and external irritants.
• Tissue Softening & Smoothness: Softens hyperkeratinized, rough skin areas (like heels and elbows) and prevents transepidermal water loss (TEWL) without clogging pores.

Clinical Indications

• Glycerine Liquid 50ml is indicated for:
• Daily hydration and smoothing of dry, scaling, or cracked skin and rough heels/elbows
• Soothing and protecting chapped, windburned, or dry lips
• Relieving painful mouth ulcers, sore gums, and minor oral mucosal irritations
• Formulating home remedies, DIY skin moisturizing sprays, or custom dermatological bases

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

• For skin, apply directly to clean, slightly damp skin or blend with equal parts water/rosewater. For mouth ulcers, dab a small amount directly onto the sore using a clean cotton swab.

Recommended Dosage:

Topical Use:

• Apply 2 to 3 times daily or as needed to dry or irritated skin.

Precautions & Warnings:

• For external and mild oral mucosal use only. Avoid direct contact with eyes. Undiluted application on severely broken or sensitive skin may cause mild transient stinging. Discontinue use if persistent redness or irritation occurs. Store below 30°C in a tightly closed bottle away from direct heat and sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
