Overview & Mechanism of Action

• Opsite Spray (100ml aerosol can) delivers an elastic, transparent polyurethane polymer solution that rapidly dries upon contact with skin:
• Breathable & Permeable Film Barrier: Forms a thin, transparent film that is permeable to air and moisture vapor, allowing skin surrounding the wound to breathe, preventing moisture buildup and maceration while remaining completely waterproof.
• Microbial & Contaminant Exclusion: Provides a continuous barrier against external bacteria, dirt, and viral contaminants, significantly reducing the risk of secondary wound infection.
• Conformable & Flexible Protection: Adheres seamlessly to difficult-to-dress body contours, joints, and skin folds without restricting mobility or causing tension on healing tissues.

Clinical Indications & Uses

• Opsite Spray 100ml is indicated for:
• Protection of minor, uninfected dry wounds, including clean cuts, minor abrasions, superficial burns, and blisters
• Coverage of clean, dry post-operative surgical incisions, suture lines, and skin graft sites
• Skin protection against friction, shear forces, and chafing, as well as sealing intact skin over external orthopedic pin sites

Usage Guidance & Safety Precautions

Administration:

• Clean and thoroughly dry the skin surrounding the wound prior to application. Invert the aerosol can and hold it approximately 15 cm (6 inches) away from the target area. Spray an even layer across the wound site. For optimal film integrity, apply a second light coat once the first layer has dried.

Removal:

• The film can be left in place to peel off naturally as the skin heals, or it can be removed easily by gently stretching the film parallel to the skin.

Precautions & Warnings:

• For external topical use only. Extremely flammable aerosol; keep away from heat, open flames, sparks, and hot surfaces. Avoid spraying directly into or near eyes, ears, mouth, or open body cavities. Do not inhale aerosol vapors. Do not use on open, deep, heavily bleeding, or infected wounds, or over active skin diseases like eczema or psoriasis. Discontinue use if skin sensitization or rash occurs. Store below $25^\circ\text{C}$ in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
